We, Aron Scott & Earthquake, had a great rehearsal tonight. Band was tight.
Also got a very nice surprise, Mr Scott (not the guy in Star Trek) brought some Christmas gifts for us. He gave me this very cool book… The Drum Book, A History of Rock Drumming.
Now, if anyone knows me, they know a couple of things. 1) I love drums and 2) I love to read!!
I’ve just flipped through it quickly, but it’s got quite a history starting many moons ago…. early 1900s. Lot’s of really cool jazz kits of those times and some pretty wild looking kits that I remember seeing ads for in Modern Drummer years back.
This is gonna be a fun read.
